Job Summary
The MRI Technologist plays a crucial role in the healthcare field, specializing in operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to capture precise images for diagnostic purposes. This position involves collaborating with medical professionals to ensure accurate imaging results essential for patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
Responsibilities
- Operate MRI machinery to produce high-quality imaging of various body parts.
- Prepare and position patients for their MRI procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Administer contrast materials as needed, following established protocols.
- Monitor and assess patients throughout the imaging process to ensure their well-being.
- Document and maintain accurate records of procedures and results.
- Collaborate with physicians and radiologists to discuss imaging findings and optimize outcomes.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited MRI technology program.
- Current certification in MRI technology, preferably from a recognized professional body.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to MRI.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
