Job Summary
The MRI Technologist position is a part-time on-call role where the individual will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This position requires a high degree of professionalism, technical skill, and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Execute MRI scans adhering to safety protocols and operational standards.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety before, during, and after procedures.
- Maintain and operate MRI equipment, ensuring functionality and resolving any technical issues.
- Assist in the training of new staff or other healthcare professionals when necessary.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other medical professionals to discuss imaging requirements.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as an MRI Technologist or equivalent relevant certification.
- Experience in a clinical setting performing MRI scans is preferred.
- Strong understanding of MRI safety protocols and patient care principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required during on-call situations.
