Job Summary
The Night Shift Multimodality (X-ray – CT) Technologist is responsible for delivering high-quality imaging services during night shifts. This position necessitates proficiency in both X-ray and CT modalities, ensuring that diagnostic images are obtained efficiently and accurately. The technologist will work collaboratively with a specialized team to optimize patient comfort and safety while adhering to established standards and protocols.
Responsibilities
- Perform X-ray and CT scans as per physician orders, ensuring precision in imaging techniques.
- Evaluate images for quality and align with medical expectations while preparing them for interpretation by radiologists.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.
- Demonstrate expertise in operating imaging equipment and performing routine maintenance checks.
- Document patient information, procedures, and outcomes accurately in the medical records.
- Collaborate effectively with medical staff to facilitate comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) credential, with additional certification in Computed Tomography (CT) preferred.
- Previous experience as an imaging technologist, particularly in X-ray and CT modalities.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, radiographic technique, and patient safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well under pressure.
- Availability to work night shifts and adaptability to varying schedules.
