Job Summary
The Night Shift Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care during the overnight hours. This position requires a dedicated healthcare professional who can provide comprehensive nursing services in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the wellbeing of all patients. The Night Shift RN will closely monitor patients’ conditions, administer treatments, and effectively communicate with the healthcare team to maintain a smooth operation during nighttime hours.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, and treatment interventions.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and interactions.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions and post-discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and best practices in nursing care.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges of patients as necessary.
Qualifications
- Must be a licensed Registered Nurse with active RN licensure.
- Relevant nursing experience, particularly in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Availability to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
