Job Summary
The pharmacy technician plays a vital role in supporting the pharmacist with various tasks such as dispensing medication, entering data, and handling claims, all while ensuring that the work area is clean and systematic. This position adheres to all relevant regulations at the local, state, and federal levels, including HIPAA compliance, and aims to deliver outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Assist the pharmacist with the medication dispensing process.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately.
- Handle adjudication of insurance claims.
- Maintain an organized and hygienic workspace.
- Ensure compliance with all pertinent regulations and standards.
- Provide high-quality customer service interactions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
- A valid pharmacy board license is necessary to fulfill the duties of this role.
