Job Summary
The Nurse Practitioner plays a vital role in evaluating the health conditions of patients, implementing diagnostic tests, and prescribing treatments specific to their area of expertise. This position involves working alongside physicians to create and carry out thorough care strategies while ensuring the integrity of patient documentation and supporting ongoing care for patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments of patient health to determine their medical needs.
- Initiate and carry out diagnostic procedures.
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans appropriate to the specialty area.
- Collaborate with physicians to formulate and execute comprehensive care plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Ensure continuity of patient care.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid New York State license as a registered nurse.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner is required, along with a Master’s degree in a related field.
- Relevant clinical experience is essential.
- National Board Certification is necessary.
- Current certifications in BLS and ACLS are required.
