Job Summary
This position is for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in Hepatology and Transplantation, located in New York City. The role involves providing high-quality healthcare in an onsite setting, delivering comprehensive care to patients with liver diseases and those requiring transplants.
Responsibilities
- Write orders for medications, laboratory tests, and diagnostic procedures to ensure optimal patient care.
- Collaborate with attending physicians, residents, nursing personnel, and other healthcare staff to manage patient treatment plans effectively.
- Engage in continuous learning and practice as a Registered Professional Nurse, adhering to the latest standards in healthcare.
- Maintain compliance with state and national healthcare regulations as well as accreditation standards.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of treatment protocols relevant to hepatology and transplantation.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited program for Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Licensure to practice in New York as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Experience or training in hepatology or transplant medicine is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to quality patient care.
