Job Summary
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the Neurosurgery ICU plays a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care for individuals undergoing neurosurgical treatment. Located in Charleston, South Carolina, this position requires both nursing and medical expertise to effectively manage patients in a high-acuity setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and examinations of patients.
- Interpret and analyze radiological and laboratory results to inform clinical decisions.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatment protocols as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families about health management and disease prevention strategies.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
