Job Summary
The position of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (PRN) in Emergency Medicine is available at the Washington University Medical Campus in Kansas City, Missouri. This role requires on-site engagement and is structured as a part-time opportunity. It is a position designed to provide critical support in emergency medical care.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced nursing or physician assistant services in an emergency medicine setting.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
- Document patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records.
- Respond to emergencies and provide immediate care to patients as needed.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to improve clinical skills.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing or a relevant field for Nurse Practitioners, or a graduate degree for Physician Assistants.
- Current licensure and certification to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Missouri.
- Proven experience in emergency medicine is preferred.
- Strong communication, assessment, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Commitment to patient care and teamwork.
