Job Summary

The position of Occupational Therapist based in Mount Vernon, Ohio, offers a competitive hourly rate between $40 to $55, along with a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. This role involves managing a diverse case load, with a focus equally split between pediatric and inpatient patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ needs and create tailored treatment plans.
• Provide 50% of care for pediatric patients and 50% for inpatients.
• Deliver high-quality therapeutic interventions to support patients in achieving their full functional potential.
• Work with patients of various age groups, from neonates to the elderly.
• Treat both orthopedic and neurological conditions within inpatient and pediatric contexts.
• Oversee the work of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and student interns.
• Ensure adherence to best practices, payer guidelines, and hospital regulations.
• Employ critical thinking skills to deliver safe and effective patient care.
• Provide courteous and professional service to all patients and staff.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members and communicate effectively across departments.
• Support daily operations and assist in data collection within the medical fitness facility.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and safeguard sensitive departmental information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program in Allied Health Professions.
• Valid Occupational Therapist license in the State of Ohio.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules as needed.
• Current certification in CPR.
• In-depth understanding of occupational therapy methodologies in diverse environments.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks and fulfill responsibilities effectively.
