Occupational Therapy Assistant – PRN

Job description

Job Summary

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) – PRN provides vital support to occupational therapists in delivering therapeutic services. This role aims to enhance patients’ daily living skills and overall quality of life, while working within a team-oriented environment to promote rehabilitation and recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by occupational therapists.
  • Support patients during therapeutic activities to improve their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Document patient progress and report any changes to supervising therapists.
  • Educate patients and their families on home exercises and safety measures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
