Job Summary
The Operating Room Assistant plays a crucial role in the surgical department by preparing operating rooms, ensuring the sterility of equipment, and supporting the surgical team during procedures. This position is vital for maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients undergoing surgery.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surgical rooms and ensure all necessary equipment is sterile.
- Assist the surgical team with patient transportation and positioning.
- Maintain a clean and safe operational environment.
- Dispose of waste materials in accordance with hospital policies.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Prior experience is not necessary, but previous exposure to a hospital setting is preferred.
