Job Summary
Hackensack Meridian Health is inviting applications for the position of Operating Room Surgical Technologist I to become a vital member of our operating room team located in Eastern, Kentucky. This role presents an opportunity to contribute significantly to patient care in a surgical environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Ensure all necessary instruments and equipment are sterile and available.
- Support surgical teams by handing instruments and anticipating needs during operations.
- Maintain accurate counts of instruments and necessary supplies throughout procedures.
- Contribute to a safe and efficient environment in the operating room.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in a surgical setting.
- Current certification from the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) or an equivalent credential as required by New Jersey regulations.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
