Job Summary
The Operations Technician / Zamboni Driver plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the ice rink facilities. This position involves handling the Zamboni machine and performing various technical and operational tasks to maintain the quality and safety of the ice surface.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the Zamboni to prepare and restore ice surfaces for recreational and competitive activities.
- Conduct regular inspections of rink equipment and facilities to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of events held at the rink, ensuring all equipment is properly stored and managed.
- Respond to any maintenance issues promptly and escalate as necessary to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service to rink patrons, ensuring a positive experience for all users of the facility.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
- Experience operating machinery, particularly a Zamboni, is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with basic maintenance tasks.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
