Job Summary
The Optician plays a critical role in providing patients with high-quality optical care by helping them select the appropriate eyewear and ensuring proper fitting and adjustment. They are responsible for interpreting prescriptions, advising on lens options, and managing the optical inventory to meet the diverse needs of clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients in selecting suitable frames and lenses based on their prescriptions and lifestyle needs.
- Interpret optical prescriptions and provide detailed information on various lens types, coatings, and features.
- Perform necessary fittings and adjustments to ensure comfort and proper alignment of eyewear.
- Maintain and manage optical displays, ensuring all products are well-presented and stocked.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to build lasting relationships with clients.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in eyewear and advancements in optical technology.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as an optician is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of optical products, lenses, and frame materials.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with clients.
- Attention to detail and manual dexterity for precise fitting and adjustments.
