Job Summary
The OR Liaison serves as a vital link between the operating room team and various departments, ensuring seamless communication and coordination. This position plays a crucial role in optimizing patient flow and enhancing surgical processes.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate communication among surgical teams, anesthesia, nursing staff, and other relevant departments.
- Monitor and manage the schedule for surgical procedures to maximize efficiency.
- Assist in resolving any operational issues that arise during surgeries.
- Provide support in developing and implementing protocols that improve surgical procedures.
- Conduct data collection and performance analysis to aid in service improvements.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly within the surgical or operating room environment, is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary for optimal performance.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in healthcare management are advantageous.
