Job Summary
The Certified Surgical Technologist/Liaison is responsible for providing essential support in surgical settings. This role entails facilitating effective communication between surgical teams and patients, ensuring optimal patient flow and safety during procedures. The individual will also be involved in surgical preparation and post-operative care coordination to enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Assist surgical teams with preparation and maintenance of the operating room.
- Act as a liaison between patients and surgical staff to communicate critical information.
- Ensure compliance with surgical safety protocols and best practices.
- Prepare instruments and surgical supplies before operations.
- Monitor and manage inventory of surgical materials and equipment.
- Support the team during procedures by anticipating needs and providing timely assistance.
- Participate in educational activities to enhance the skills and knowledge required for the role.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist from a recognized accrediting body.
- Previous experience in a surgical environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of surgical instruments and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with diverse individuals.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
