Job Summary
The OR/Sterile Processing Technician plays a vital role in the healthcare setting at Surgical Solutions, facilitating the efficiency of operating rooms and sterile processing departments. This position is centered around enhancing patient care and supporting healthcare teams by ensuring that surgical instruments and equipment are properly processed, sterilized, and available for use. The technician will be responsible for responding promptly to the needs of the operating room staff and playing a key part in delivering quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assist operating room personnel by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
- Ensure proper sterilization and handling of surgical tools and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the sterile processing area.
- Respond to requests from OR staff in a timely manner.
- Stay updated on best practices for sterile processing and instrument management.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Central Sterile Technician (CRCST) or equivalent credential is required.
- Prior experience in a surgical or sterile processing environment is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-focused setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
