Job Summary
The OR23ST – CVOR ST position entails working in the cardiovascular operating room, providing expert assistance and support during surgical procedures focused on cardiac care. This role is integral in ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes by collaborating closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preoperative preparations, including equipment setup and patient positioning.
- Support the surgical team during cardiovascular procedures by providing necessary instruments and tools.
- Maintain sterile field and adhere to strict infection control protocols.
- Monitor patient vitals and assist in the management of complications that may arise during surgery.
- Ensure that all surgical supplies and equipment are available and functioning prior to procedures.
- Participate in postoperative care by evaluating patient condition and preparing necessary documentation.
Qualifications
- Required certification in nursing or as a surgical technologist.
- Strong understanding of cardiovascular procedures and anatomy.
- Previous experience in an operating room setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
- Ability to remain calm and efficient in high-pressure situations.
