Job Summary
The CVOR position is critical in overseeing and executing cardiovascular operating room procedures. This role involves collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care, ensuring safe and effective surgical environments. The CVOR will be integral to both pre-operative and post-operative processes, contributing to improved patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and organization of the cardiovascular operating room.
- Perform essential tasks during surgical procedures to support the surgical team.
- Monitor patient vital signs and overall condition during operations.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and assist in maintaining a sterile environment.
- Participate in discussing surgical plans and patient care strategies with the medical team.
Qualifications
- State licensure as a registered nurse or relevant professional certification.
- Previous experience in cardiovascular surgery or a related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of surgical instruments and procedures in a cardiovascular context.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, informed decisions.
