Job Summary
The Oral Surgery Assistant plays a vital role in delivering compassionate care to patients throughout their surgical journey, offering support during evaluations and surgeries. This position also involves crucial responsibilities related to the maintenance of surgical instruments and the preparation of surgical environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Assist the oral surgeon with evaluations and surgical tasks.
- Maintain proper sterilization of instruments to ensure patient safety.
- Document patient information accurately in charts.
- Prepare and organize surgical rooms for operations.
Qualifications
- A minimum of one year of experience in dental or surgical assistance.
- Possession of a radiology certification.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations, sterilization practices, and medical terminology.
