Job Summary
The primary role involves preparing for both sterile and non-sterile procedures and assisting surgeons with minor operations under supervision. The position also encompasses providing airway support until the required competencies are achieved, ensuring the team’s effectiveness in surgical settings.
Responsibilities
- Prepare for sterile and non-sterile surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons with minor procedures while under supervision.
- Provide airway support until core competencies are established.
- Complete surgical documentation accurately and promptly.
- Perform related clinical tasks, including radiographs, impressions, and digital scans.
- Care for splints, facilitate suture removal, and handle instrument processing.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Completion of infection control training is necessary.
- Certification or experience in sterile processing is required.
- Qualifications in dental radiography, nitrous oxide, IV or phlebotomy, and anesthesia-related skills may be achieved within post-hire timeframes.
