Job Summary
The Ortho & Spine OR Certified Surgical Technologist at Memorial Hermann plays a vital role in delivering high-quality and efficient perioperative patient care. This position emphasizes the provision of expert services utilizing specialized equipment, ensuring that surgical procedures are conducted smoothly and effectively in the orthopedic and spine operating room.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert perioperative support during orthopedic and spine surgeries.
- Ensure the surgical environment is well-prepared and maintained for optimal efficiency.
- Utilize and manage surgical equipment as per the Surgical Technologist Skills Inventory.
- Assist the surgical team in maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons and nursing staff to facilitate effective operations.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist is required.
- Experience working in orthopedic and spine surgery preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Ability to function effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
