Job Summary
NYU Langone Health’s Orthopedic Hospital is in search of a Surgical Technologist to join the evening operating room (OR) team. This position entails supporting orthopedic surgical procedures by assisting physicians and managing surgical instruments, all aimed at enhancing patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during orthopedic surgical procedures.
- Prepare and maintain a sterile environment within the operating room.
- Manage surgical instruments effectively.
- Ensure that all necessary supplies are available for surgical procedures.
- Follow strict protocols for patient safety and infection control.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist from NBSTSA is required.
- Experience in an operating room setting, particularly in orthopedic surgery, is preferred.
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and instruments.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
