**Job Title: Peer Support Specialist**
The Peer Support Specialist plays a vital role in enhancing recovery by offering mentorship, advocacy, and hands-on assistance to individuals enrolled in outpatient programs for substance use disorders. They work closely with the treatment team to promote client engagement, track progress, and assist clients in cultivating positive life skills and coping mechanisms. Applicants need to possess personal experience in substance use recovery and be certified as a Peer Support Specialist in California. Exceptional communication abilities and a capacity to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team are essential, and a valid driver’s license is required.
