Job Summary
The Patient Access Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring effective and precise registration of patients. This position involves not only confirming insurance details and determining patient costs but also assisting with the documentation of medical records and escorting patients throughout the healthcare facility.
Responsibilities
- Perform timely and precise patient registration procedures.
- Verify insurance information and calculate the financial responsibility of patients.
- Assist in maintaining and documenting medical records.
- Provide escort services for patients within the facility.
Qualifications
- A High School diploma or GED is required; an Associate’s or Technical degree is preferred.
- Ability to accurately research health plans is essential.
- Must be able to follow directives from senior staff effectively.
