Job Summary
The Patient Care Assistant plays a crucial role as part of the internal float pool, delivering both direct and indirect age-specific care across various hospital departments. Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, this position focuses on fostering a safe, comfortable, and healing atmosphere for patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide both direct and indirect patient care tailored to different age groups.
- Collaborate with the nursing staff to maintain patient safety and comfort.
- Support a healing environment in various hospital units.
- Assist in the execution of care plans as directed by nursing personnel.
Qualifications
- Completion of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assisting program, or the School of Nursing Fundamentals.
- Possession of a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Ability to work effectively in diverse hospital units under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
