The Patient Care Tech performs basic nursing care activities such as monitoring vital signs and assisting patients with personal care and daily living activities. They also manage unit workflow, answer communications, and serve as a liaison between patient care units and other departments. Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and hold a certification as a CNA, CMA, EMT, or be a nursing student with one semester of clinicals completed. A valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
