Job Summary
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) plays a crucial role in providing direct patient care and aiding in various clinical procedures while working under the guidance of a registered nurse. This position is essential for enhancing unit operations, particularly in areas concerning patient mobility, nutrition, and the prevention of health issues.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Assist with clinical procedures as directed by the nursing staff.
- Monitor and document patient status and responses accurately.
- Contribute to unit operations with a focus on improving patient mobility and nutrition.
- Engage in preventive measures to avoid complications in patient health.
Qualifications
- Applicants should be at least 16 years of age.
- Must possess or be able to obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within three months of starting the position.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.
