Job Summary
The Patient Care Technician plays a crucial role in supporting patients by aiding them with daily living activities, transporting them when necessary, and recording vital signs as well as care documentation. This position entails monitoring patients for any changes in their condition and promptly communicating those observations to the registered nurse in charge.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with their daily living activities.
- Transport patients to various locations as needed.
- Document patient care and vital sign observations accurately.
- Monitor for any changes in patient conditions and report findings to the registered nurse.
Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in high school or have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid CNA certification is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
