Job Summary
The Patient Care Technician is responsible for providing direct patient care, assisting in clinical tasks, and maintaining accurate documentation of patient conditions under the supervision of licensed professionals. This role involves working closely with an interdisciplinary team to offer empathetic support while ensuring the smooth and safe functioning of the unit.
Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Assist in a variety of clinical procedures as guided by healthcare professionals.
- Document and monitor changes in patients’ health status accurately.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to enhance patient care.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient environment within the unit.
Qualifications
- Candidates must be at least 16 years of age.
- Must possess or be able to obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within three months of employment.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred but not mandatory.
