Job Summary
The Patient Care Technician plays a vital role in delivering essential nursing care and treatments, operating under the guidance of a registered nurse. This position is crucial for supporting patient needs and ensuring quality care within the healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living to enhance their comfort and independence.
- Facilitate patient mobility to promote recovery and physical well-being.
- Collect specimens as required for medical tests and procedures.
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately to maintain clear records.
Qualifications
- Completion of a Basic CNA course or possession of an EMT-B certification.
- Must hold or be in the process of obtaining Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Physical capability to lift, move, and transport patients within a hospital environment.
