**Patient Escort**
The Patient Escort plays a crucial role in the safe transportation of patients around the VA Medical Center using wheelchairs, stretchers, or hospital beds. This position also involves handling medical equipment and specimens while delivering compassionate customer service to both patients and staff members. Applicants are required to have a High School Diploma or GED as well as a current driver’s license. Additionally, candidates must be able to successfully pass a federal background check and demonstrate the physical stamina to walk, push, and navigate medical equipment during their shifts.
