The Patient Sitter provides constant observation and attendance to assigned patients to ensure their safety. They are responsible for reporting any changes in the patient’s condition or behavior to the nursing staff. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and a valid BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Successful completion of mandatory hospital training courses and annual safety drills is required.
