Job Summary
The Patient Transporter plays a crucial role in the healthcare system by ensuring that patients are safely and comfortably transported between various areas, such as diagnostic, treatment, and discharge locations. This position emphasizes the importance of patient dignity and comfort during transport while collaborating with the healthcare team and adhering to strict infection control practices.
Responsibilities
- Safely move patients to and from diagnostic, treatment, and discharge areas.
- Ensure the comfort and dignity of patients during transport.
- Coordinate transportation efforts with healthcare professionals.
- Maintain transport equipment in line with infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- 0-1 years of experience in a healthcare or patient support capacity.
- Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required by the end of the orientation period.
