Job Summary
The Payor Credentialing Specialist plays a pivotal role in overseeing the credentialing and enrollment processes for healthcare providers with various payors. This position ensures compliance with accreditation standards and facilitates timely and accurate provider enrollment, while also maintaining up-to-date records and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Manage the credentialing process for healthcare professionals, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
- Facilitate the enrollment of providers with various insurance companies and payors.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements pertaining to provider credentialing.
- Communicate effectively with payor representatives to resolve issues and expedite the enrollment process.
- Keep accurate records and documentation for all credentialing activities, ensuring timely updates when necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a credentialing role within the healthcare field.
- Strong understanding of medical staff credentialing, privileging, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
