Job Summary
The Bone Marrow Transplant RN plays a crucial role in providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing bone marrow transplants. This position demands a high level of expertise in managing complex medical conditions and delivering comprehensive support during the transplant process.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor patients closely for any changes in condition, and respond promptly to clinical needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding the transplant process and post-care needs.
- Document all patient interactions and treatment plans accurately in medical records.
Qualifications
- Active RN license with a focus on oncology nursing or similar experience.
- Certifications in BMT or related fields are an advantage.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
