Job Summary
The Payor Reimbursement Specialist is responsible for overseeing the daily operations related to payor reimbursement. This includes managing communications, handling escalations, and maintaining contracts. The role also involves acting as a bridge between reimbursement leadership, sales teams, and pharmacy staff to facilitate effective medication access and manage benefit programs.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily payor reimbursement processes.
- Manage communication between various stakeholders including reimbursement leadership and sales teams.
- Handle escalations and contract maintenance effectively.
- Serve as a liaison to ensure smooth medication access and benefit program management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare or medical provider practice.
- Experience in pharmacy or medical billing is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or life sciences is desired.
- Strong independent decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication abilities.
