Job Summary
The Payor Reimbursement Specialist is responsible for overseeing daily processes related to payor reimbursements, fostering effective communications, and managing escalations while serving as the point of contact for payer account management. This position also involves engaging in activities for launching new payers and ensuring precise reporting regarding contracting prospects and medication accessibility.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily payor reimbursement operations and processes.
- Serve as a key liaison for payer account maintenance.
- Facilitate communications and manage escalations related to reimbursements.
- Participate in initiatives associated with launching new payers.
- Ensure accurate reporting on contracting opportunities and medication access.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the healthcare or medical provider field, particularly in pharmacy or medical billing.
- A bachelor’s degree in business or a life sciences discipline is preferred.
- Possess strong independent decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication skills are essential.
