Job Summary
The Payor Reimbursement Specialist is responsible for overseeing the daily operations associated with payor reimbursement. This role involves managing communications, handling escalations, and maintaining contracts. Additionally, the specialist acts as a bridge between the reimbursement leadership team and the sales department to facilitate effective medication access and comprehensive account management.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily payor reimbursement operations.
- Handle communications and escalations related to reimbursement processes.
- Maintain and oversee contract agreements with payors.
- Serve as a liaison between reimbursement leaders and the sales team.
- Ensure efficient access to medications and manage accounts effectively.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare or medical provider practices.
- In-depth knowledge of pharmacy or medical billing processes.
- A bachelor’s degree in business or life sciences is preferred, but not mandatory.
