Job Summary
UNC Health’s Medical Center Children’s OR in Raleigh, North Carolina, is looking for a Per Diem Pediatric OR Surgical Technologist I. This role involves providing essential support in a six-operating-suite unit while contributing to a wide array of surgical services, including Orthopedics, Neuro, ENT, Oral Maxillofacial, Burns, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, Plastics, and Urology.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Ensure a sterile environment during surgical procedures.
- Support a range of surgical specialties, adapting to the diverse needs of each procedure.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to provide quality patient care.
- Help in the transportation and positioning of patients in the operating room.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Certification by a recognized organization is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to collaborate with medical teams.
- Flexibility to work on a per diem basis, adapting to the unit’s varying needs.
