Job Summary
The Personal Care Aide is responsible for delivering essential support and assistance to individuals who require aid with daily living activities. This role emphasizes compassionate care and aims to enhance the quality of life for clients by providing personalized assistance.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Help clients with mobility and transportation needs.
- Provide companionship to clients and engage them in social activities.
- Monitor clients’ health and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Carry out household tasks such as meal preparation and light housekeeping.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in personal care or caregiving is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work compassionately with clients of diverse backgrounds.
- CPR and first aid certification is a plus.
