Job Summary
The Pharmacist plays a crucial role in the healthcare system by compounding and dispensing medications with precision. They are also responsible for offering guidance to patients regarding their medications and addressing any medication-related concerns. Additionally, this position involves supervising pharmacy technicians and ensuring adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards within the pharmacy department.
Responsibilities
- Accurately compound and dispense pharmaceuticals.
- Provide counseling to patients about their medications.
- Resolve medication-related issues effectively.
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and accreditation standards in the pharmacy department.
Qualifications
- Valid Texas State Board of Pharmacy License.
- Certification in IV, MTM, CPR, and Vaccination.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws.
- Able to lift a maximum of 30 pounds.
