Job Summary
The pharmacy technician plays a crucial role in supporting pharmacists by managing various daily tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the pharmacy. This includes duties related to the preparation and distribution of medications within a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with medication cart filling and replenishing stock.
- Support the preparation of IV admixture under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.
- Handle hourly deliveries of medication and supplies throughout the hospital.
- Coordinate effectively with various hospital departments to fulfill pharmacy needs.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Possession of a current Florida Pharmacy Technician or Intern State License is mandatory.
- Preferred candidates will have at least one year of experience working in a hospital environment.
