Job description
Job Summary
The Pharmacy Technician plays a pivotal role in assisting pharmacists with various operational tasks within the pharmacy setting. This position is essential for ensuring that medication is managed efficiently, support is provided to customers, and regulatory standards are met consistently.
Responsibilities
- Aid pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications.
- Ensure that all pharmacy operations comply with health regulations and standards.
- Process prescriptions and manage inventory of pharmaceutical goods.
- Provide outstanding customer service, addressing inquiries and assisting patients effectively.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to medication and patient information.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medication management.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
