Job Summary
The Pharmacy Technician plays a vital role in supporting pharmacists by helping with the preparation, dispensing, and distribution of medications to patients. This includes working with intravenous admixtures and ensuring that all pharmaceutical practices meet regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of patient medications.
- Support the process of medication reconciliation through patient and family interviews to gather comprehensive medication and allergy histories.
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements while working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Document pharmacy activities accurately and utilize computer systems to manage patient information effectively.
Qualifications
- Ability to work collaboratively with licensed pharmacists.
