Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist – OR plays a crucial role in the surgical team by supporting medical staff during operations. This position involves preparation of operating rooms, sterilization of instruments, and providing assistance before, during, and after surgical procedures to ensure optimal patient care and safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgeries.
- Sterilize and organize surgical instruments and supplies.
- Assist surgeons during operations to provide necessary support.
- Ensure that patient safety is upheld throughout surgical procedures.
- Handle, process, and dispose of surgical materials appropriately.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve surgical outcomes.
Qualifications
- Certification or diploma in surgical technology.
- Previous experience as a surgical technologist is preferred.
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to maintain composure and attention to detail in high-pressure situations.
