Job Summary
The Pharmacy Technician plays a crucial role in supporting pharmacists by aiding in the preparation and distribution of medications, including the formulation of IV solutions while adhering to aseptic protocols. This position is vital in maintaining efficient pharmacy operations and ensuring patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications.
- Mix IV solutions using stringent aseptic techniques.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and manage pharmaceutical supplies.
- Process patient charges accurately.
- Ensure appropriate storage and restocking of medications and supplies.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent educational background.
- Preferred one year of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting.
- Basic computer skills for efficient task management.
- Effective communication skills in English.
