Job Summary
The Pharmacy Technician plays a vital role in the healthcare system by assisting pharmacists in delivering medication and healthcare services to patients. This position requires dedication to the well-being of patients and adherence to the highest standards of pharmacy practice.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Maintain medication inventory and manage stock levels.
- Assist customers in locating medications and provide information related to drug usage as directed.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations and standards within the pharmacy environment.
- Perform administrative duties such as processing prescriptions and managing patient records.
- Support the pharmacist in patients’ consultations and healthcare services.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a pharmacy technician training program is preferred.
- Valid pharmacy technician certification or eligibility for certification.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medication therapies, and healthcare regulations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
