The phlebotomist is responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients of all ages while ensuring safety and consistency. They also perform clerical and processing duties and assist in the training of students and employees. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months of phlebotomy experience or formal training. An AHA BLS certification is required for the position.
